I hope you all give him the respect he deserves. He’s single handedly bringing boxing back in to the mainstream. He’s great for the sport. He’s a champion who will possess 3 of the 4 belts. A champion who since winning his first belt has chased the unification. A champion who would’ve just knocked out the #3. A champion who has never failed a drug test. Put some respect on him.
Don’t be silly. The haters will come up with some reason to discredit the win, just like they do after every fight. Especially the ones that picked the other guy.
He is a phenoninom. Look at the numbers he is doing, the venues he is filling. Its amazing. Never seen anything like it on these shores, even the likes of Bruno and Hatton wasnt doing these numbers.
He's the favourite, holds every advantage, of course he wins. I will have the same opinion as I do now regardless after the fight !
As much as you dislike him as a person will you still admit how good he’s been for boxing? In particular U.K. boxing?
Well he's juiced. Will you give Parker credit for unifying the belts! He's taken on all comers and called for unification before it was even an idea in the other champ's head
I think UK boxing has been good for AJ, just as much as AJ has been good for UK boxing, honestly. AJ is a product of the UK's amateur program, and a product of London's Olympic bid success, and a product of SKY Television's commitment to professional boxing. AJ has done well but let's not pretend he's the architect of British boxing's current position. He's the result of it, just as much. Let's not forget which British heavyweight actually ended the reign of Klitschko too, opening up the opportunities for Joshua this last 2 years. It was Fury, if we're honest.
If AJ beats Parker I'll give him loads of credit. I don't think Parker is anything special but he's solid enough and young. We're talking about two relatively mediocre heavyweight champions but they are fit and confident so it could be a good fight.
If AJ wins it is a fight he is expected to win against a guy who whilst he holds a belt I would favour 3 or 4 other fighters to beat him. I'm no fan of AJ but imo he gained a tonne of respect from me anyway in the way he recovered and won against Wlad. Yes Wlad was 41 and had been inactive, but when Joshua was gassed, dropped, hurt and imo behind in the fight he rallied to gain a victory....that imo is far more impressive than beating Parker. WAR PARKER!
Like every fight, he should win convincingly and without the cooked scorecards of the judges like they did to Horn. Then yes I will give him all the credit.
It's not hating with some, hates to strong a word in my case. I just don't like the fella for his act and true self...He's easily the best heavy about imo, its obvious
