who will be new champion/champions? I think Boytsov, Dimitrenko, and so many more coming up. Tyson Fury? Too early yet. There are many. In America, perhaps Arreola if he works his butt off, will not hold breath for that though. Cubans? It could be several years before Vlad retires. Vlad could keep fighting until he is 40, Vlad is 33. Vitali is 37, could fight until 40 as well. The new scene could be interesting, but so many more coming up we have not seen yet. It takes years to develope top pro fighters.

Povetkin, Boytsov and Chambers are all good but small for today's HW division. Dimitrenko is young but will never be the next Klitschko. There seems to be no real heir apparent.

Yes, very true. It takes a lot of time to create a top heavyweight with the skills of Klitschkos, lots of hard work. They will need to be willing to stay on good diet, not get fat, good amateur background is extremely helpful and who will support them? ABC, NBC, CBS should support boxing like they did years ago. Free TV creates superstars.

You touched on it at the end. It really all depends on when the Klitschkos retire so with that being said you gotta think about who the most talented young fighters are. The truth is that the next wave of champs may not even be pros yet.

Yes, next Olympics could give hint. However, I did not like last Olympics because of very bad scoring.

I see there are alot of decent tall young, Russian, German cruiserweights, they could possibly fill out and have a crack in the hw division

Olympics were a disgrace. There is still a good amateur network all over the world because of the olympics but the scoring was a disgrace.

I have heard reports that the scoring system will be change because of so much criticism I sure hope so. It was very frustrating.

Maybe they can get one of those drinking birds to press the button.

I sure hope they do something. I think the birds could do better.

the problem is, every time the klit's fight an up and comer, they always destroy them and they never come back. people like dimitrenko and povetkin should avoid the klitschkos for at least a couple more years imo. fighters like povetkin, dimitrenko, haye and arreola could all realistically fight and lose to the klitschko's within a year- and where does that leave them?

(thats assuming chambers loses, you could probably put him on that list aswell since it could be a pretty close fight tomorrow)

Someone will fill in the gap. That's for sure but it is hard to tell who is going to be or if one person will dominate the division the way Klitschkos have been doing.

When the klitshkos retire, the HW division will seem better and people will say it's getting better and bull**** like that, you'll see.
