When Lara absolutely dominates Canelo... wouldn't he be the obvious choice for Floyd?

IMO Lara is going to dominate Canelo pretty convincingly.

Provided that he does, would he not be the top and logical choice for Floyd next May?

yep, but there's a strong chance that Pacquiao will get the fight next May if he doesn't sign an extension

I just don't see how little floyd would accept a Lara fight. Lara has zero fans, and the style matchup would be worse than watching paint dry. A terrible fight from a commercial point of view.

lara is my pick in this fight, but still I can't imagine him winning in a dominating fashion.
Rather, i think that this will be a very tough fight for both fighters as they give and take throughout the fight.

Only Mayweather has the skills to completely dominate Canelo. He even dominated him while standing in front of him for most of the fight.
I expect Lara to be back pedaling and sliding across the ropes for most of the fight and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get hurt once or twice either.

I think it will be a close SD win for Lara, but not a domination.

No. It would be The Special One when he absolutely spanks Porter.

Lara isn't beating Canelo with WBC appointed judges watching the fight. You can rest assured of that.

The judges are appointed by the State Athletic Comission.

But if he beats Canelo, he'd have a pretty huge jump in popularity. And people might end up begging for it

If I were Floyd I'd rather fight Pacquiao than Lara

Canelo got his a$$ whupped by bum Trout. Lara is going to school him if he fights to his potential.
Of course Mayweather will not fight Lara because he is not a PPV draw. Also because he is a 154lb southpaw. lol

The thing is, as soon as someone fights floyd you get fans ie the fans who want to see Lara win are the fans who want floyd to lose all the time he fights

So in a way, fighting floyd generates a fanbase for you

Not really. Lara is an unexciting fighter. Trout hardly had a jump in popularity from being Cotto, same with Rigondeaux beating Donaire. The way they fight, doesn't exactly leave casuals wanting more.
