    not exactly

he said people hate floyd because he's one of those loud black men who says what they want, apparently the white peepz dont like it because they expect a black man to be like a slave and then he used shane mosley as an example!

Larry merchant is a fantastic commentator. The thing I like most about him is he tells it how it is. Never a sugar coated answer and that's the way a jouranlist/commentator should do it. Imagine if he was hugging every fighters nuts? It'd be terrible.

At which point Floyd decides to make his comeback doesn't matter because there will always be someone who is a huge threat such as Sergio and Paul and possibly any of the current 140 lb kings who look to move up to 147. Since his return he's only dominated two guys who were top 3 P4P in the world. Granted they were made to order for him but the same can be said about Pac's last 4-5 opponents. If you're insinuating that Floyd has been ducking or cherry-picking, I think it's only fair to mention Pac's name as well. He doesn't always fight the guy he should choose to get in the ring with.

It's ****ing infuriating to me that I hear **** like this.

Pacquiao's win column takes a huge steaming **** on Floyd's.

    So does his loss column.

So much for you not being a Mayweather hater, huh? You are first in every thread to rip him a new one.

I feel the same when people discredit Floyd. It works both ways. When Pac fought Oscar, Oscar wasn't even ranked near the top P4P list. Yet when Pac dominates him the world goes crazy. Granted Oscar had a size advantage but ****, Bill Russell is twice my size. Doesn't mean he can out-hustle me in a game of basketball. When Floyd beat Shane, most hardheads call it a mismatch because of Shane's age and layoff. DLH hadn't fought at welterweight in nearly ten years yet that isn't considered a factor when he fights Pac? It's a ****ing double standard.

And for the record, I'll concede that Pac's resume is a bit more impressive than Floyd's. But they are not worlds apart. I don't necessarily base their success on wins over big names. A washed up Morales isn't exactly a more difficult fight than a Castillo who was still in his prime.

I've never liked Larry. You like him because of your ******* infection. Anyone with warm feelings towards Larry displays terrible taste.

Where have I ripped him a new one, PB?

He is full of ****. He contradicts himself on video...the stuff he says about Ray Leonard and Ray Robinson...I consider myself a fairly knowledgeable Boxing fan, that kind of stuff is insulting to me. Now, it doesn't mean I hate Floyd, but I'm not a fan of his media personality...there's things about Manny that rub me up the wrong way also. The way he books concerts immediately after fights...it's disrespectful to the opposition in my view.

When pac fought oscar? Oscar called out manny, tried to pick on a lightweight (1 fight at 135).. then jumped to 147!. People went crazy cause NOBODY except "*******s" (pacdbest) thought Pacman had a chance in hell! Also, it was how manny just DOMINATED oscar from the jump. It's not that hard to understand. Comparing boxing to basketball is like comparing mma to baseball. Boxing size makes a HUGE difference. and no way in hell Chris Paul is going to take Kobe 1 on 1 no matter how you slice it. Size advantage is a difference maker.

You are complaining that people are egging on the shane/floyd fight cause of the age, yet, you rip manny's victory of oscar? I think both fights had reason to be suspect, difference being manny was being picked on here. Oscar thought he had a victory over the midget in the bag, and a possible rematch with floyd.

Then you call morales washed up? Did you see the fight? It was an epic battle with pacman losing on the cards. Do you not realize that manny was still raw (green) at that time of his career? He didn't have the right hand working for him yet. He didn't use his brain to think much then either.. (he WAS a brawler). Morales gets props either way for the victory, but manny took the next two in dominating fashion.

Both Manny and Floyd are great, but, the resumes are not that close. YET!

There is a massive difference between telling it how it is and what Larry does. Larry is wrong half of the time and for the last ten years he has been confused the other half. Pac fans have the worst judgment in all of sports. No surprise he's become your hero.

    Robert. You've condemned me as a *******.

...I'm not. Trust me, ask anyone who's been here longer than 2 months.

'Undiluted' is not a word that can be attributed to his opinions. He certainly has his favorites. He is actually more 'diluted' than Lampley and Steward quite often.

Manny contradicts himself about important topics like "I didn't do PEDS". Listen to the the congressional Karoake king twist in the wind talking about how he is afraid of needles and how his Mommy only want's him to fight two more times. This guy is ****ing joke. I could care less who a fighter thinks they could beat from the past its irrelevant. I care if a guy is cheating in a sport where lives are on the line.
