Right, he has favorites and is not shy about expressing it. To favor certain guys in that position is 'favoritism' otherwise known as 'bias' which is not 'undiluted' as you described. 'Undiluted' suggests an objective position. Larry Merchants position is subjective, and therefore IS diluted by his preferences and favoritism. Whether or not he says the token 'negative' comment about his favorites or not doesn't make him any more objective.

Holy ****. who's this pretentious ****. Want me to use another word, Eko?

Passionate might qualify, could I have a long and overdrawn definition of that too...just to be sure?

Has nothing to do with wording, it has to do with your suggestion that Merchant is objective and not biased. If you didn't mean to suggest that he's not biased, by all means use another word.

-- Passionate he is... unbiased he is not.

Merchant is unbiased in establishing his favorites.

Totally agreed. As soon as I hear his voice I'm in big fight mode. Love the guy.

My thoughts exactly. I actually try to be a fan of Floyd since I think the villain aspect is just something he does to get the publicity, but... well I think the villain persona does work to well since I end up getting pissed in the end. His die hard fans certainly make it harder to like the guy.

I'm still amazed at how Floyd and Pac fans can hijack so many threads, so back on point... I like Merchant, he's entertaining even when you don't agree with what he says and entertaining even when his boxing analogies and metaphors don't quite work.

I never said Pac was not guilty of it. I wanted to point out and let *****s realize what they try to deny. Pac ducks, so does Floyd. This isn't about Pac anyway.

Thanks for the post. I think we all should take it all a bit less seriously. I'm sure those guys just try to make a living... and wish them good luck (Roger 'the women strangler' excluded).
