For real Lucas boxed him he didnt go full out against ruslan like was trying to do with garcia

it was the other way round ruslan was the bigger puncher and was walking lucas down he got backed up and hurt couple of times RUSLAN WAS NEVER HURT

I was expecting lucas to go full out and go to war with ruslan but he never he stuck to his game plan of boxing which worked for him:yep

It's amazing to see the contrast in his fight with garcia he was the one walking down garcia and every time he hit him garcia was troubled and was backing up even late in the fight he hurt him and was backing him with one eye

But with ruslan the guy felt his power boxing smart he landed countless many hard on his ruslans chin and ruslan still kept coming forward

Um...Lucas walked him down a few times also and ruslans corner was close to stopping the fight at one point.

Another Freddie roach fighter bites the dust lol

It was because of the cut ruslan was not even hurt once and never held on like garcia

Ruslan chins is made out cast iron

Lucas will only box you if he feels you are a very hard puncher and tough *****

It's sad but when Freddie boxer he was known as a punching bag with no defense. He is over hyped and can only really teach offense as defense.

The fight went 12 rounds and the cut wasn't in his eye's way. Stop trolling. Ruslan obviously has more power but it took the better fighter to out BOX him. Boxing is more then just trading shots. And Lucas got the job done.

I said it before and look up my post history, ruslan is dangerous for the first 5-6 rounds, but then tires out and throws wide hooks for the rest of the fight. And like clock work, its what happened.

I disagree completely ruslan actually got more energized in later in the fight

Did you see the cuts on luca knuckles?

He even said after the fight his hand was sore because of how hard he punched ruslan in the face the guy's chin more than iron

Props to Provodnikov for that action and coming back to win those late rounds. But same as always he's just too predictable and limited.

Great game plan and execution by Matthysse. In four of the five rounds I gave to Provodnikov, Matthysse was winning the first minute round and then seemed to concede them and it almost got him in trouble.

I thought it was an easy fight to score. 115-113 to Lucas with Lederman's scorecard being spot on with the exception of his botching that 9th round.

I sort of disagree here. Ruslan is like Sergio. He fights for 2-4 rounds then takes the next 2-4 off. But yes, his fighting in spurts and taking rounds off, that is like clockwork.

Did you not read the part where I said that ruslan will always have power, heart and chin advantage over any fighter he faces? But this is boxing, skills can be implied and it was something ruslan has been lacking. The guy almost finished Bradley and Chris, with proper coaching he could of been better.

Hate to see ruslan loose, he is such a good person and real humble. He needs a coach who will discipline him, and teach him how to block and when to attack. Imagine a well conditioned and properly disciplined ruslan. Roach has a tendency to encourage brawling and focuses less on defense. Ruslan has offense down, but his defense is non existent. You could tell when ruslan was discouraged in the fight because he would just walk to his opponent. When he is energetic and motivated he jogs to his opponents to go head on.

Ruslan is a BEAST! Never seen any one so eager to go and trade like him, but he needs a new coach. Hope he continues to fight as he never disappoints.

The issue with Ruslan is he can not deal with a fighter who has decent boxing skills it will always be his downfall it has nothing to do with his trainers................

bradley fought stupid because of the abuse he got for the Pac win......

He really has issues with getting Past that jab you can beat ruslan if you box him well( and have a good chin) but you will take some punishment.

Ruslan just doesn't deal with with guys who decide to move and box him lucas done this and it worked out for him credit to him.

He has been with Pac for years i would of thought he would learn how to get past a jab.

Odd that you are attempting to discredit Lucas for winning a boxing match by boxing better...?!

His knee buckled in round 11. Woo hoo. Hold onto that for the rest of your life.

Your obsessive bitterness wouldn't have anything to do with you making 82 threads and 617 posts about how Provodnikov was better and would definitely win, would it?

I can only hope you bet some of your hard earned money on the result you were so passionate about and confident it.
