    Is there a connection between Pacman's fight and crimes in the Philippines?
    With his popularity and influence on the social activities of every Filipino in the Philippines and abroad, it cannot be denied that there exist a many resounding effects and one of which is the lowering of the crime rate in the country.

    "As with past Pacquiao bouts, the crime rate dropped to practically zero as criminals were also busy watching the fight, said police spokesman Senior Superintendent Agrimero Cruz in a statement."

    it just means that most are watching him fight in his homeland. even the communist and muslim rebels and the Phil. military would try to stop the engagements if there was a scheduled pac fight. it's always the case since pac won over MAB.

    Crime rate is low anyway when big Vegas fights are on. Saturday night in Vegas is Sunday morning in the Philippines, when many people go to church.

    sounds like a perfect time to rob some businesses since everyone will be busy at home or the at the bar watching the pac fight....out of all the criminals in the phillipines not one has thought about this....crazy

    it's sunday morning here so the only crime you could do is jaywalking or beating the red light and it doesn't matter since the streets are almost empty during the fight.

    Actually, this trend has been broken since the Mosley fight.
    There was 2 isolated cases of robbery.

    But still, you can take pictures of yourself lying down in the middle of an otherwise busy highway during a Pacquiao fight.
    That is how much his countrymen love him.
