NO. But floyd is the best boxer today bar none. No one has the skills and defense of Money, none. The best boxer living today is Money Floyd Mayweather.

The fact of the matter is that yes it likely has. While I somewhat disagree with it, all the *******s spamming away in their netcafes won't change that Floyd will pass Manny as time goes by.

Why didn't you list Pac's fights against Barrera, Morales, or his first two vs Marquez? Bias? Or did you only start watching boxing recently?

As was said before, Floyd is a H2H monster.

Someone who can potentially beat the greats of the weight class he's been in.

However, as the word implies, potentially. As with the case with Pacquiao, he's considered to be able to beat him. And he never did as he never faced him in the first place.

And getting knocked out by another P4P fighter isn't something to be ashamed off nor should drag his previous accomplishments down a notch.

i voted no. it was manny's knoickout losses to torrecampo, 3K battery, and morales that would never have allowed him to surpass floyd, even before manny's 4 "losses" to JMM

excellent, excellent post! i have been saying this for YEARS! manny defeated guys who were already exposed to flkoyd or someone else. morales whipped manny so bad in their first fight manny cried iun his corner, vanished for 6 months, then came back like barry bonds, if you catch my drift!

I credit Pac for everything he's done at 135 and beneath. Incredible accomplishments. At 135 I believe he was a clean fighter and I was thoroughly impressed. What makes his "reign" great was the incredible overnight weight jumping. The weight jumping itself is highly suspicious to say the least. Also, his opposition was not impressive at all.

What did Mayweather do to surpass Pacquiao?, was he the one to knock him out?

If it weren't impressive, there would be no accusations of PED's.

The question you have to ask when an opponent is under less-than-ideal circumstances is whether or not many others could have done the same thing. Oscar was past-it and drained, but could most fighters move up from 130 and make him quit? Cotto was ill-prepared, but could most former flyweights (or even welterweights) have picked him apart and dropped him twice before offensively dominating the remainder of the rounds? Could most former featherweights dominate Antonio Margarito and break his orbital bone? KO Ricky Hatton cold in 2?

I'll say again that their resume's are close, but it's perfectly reasonable to see that Manny has an edge in impressive wins, especially given his domination of Barrera near his best. You can pick any fighter's resume apart with imperfections, there's no point to it.

Exactly. Credit to JMM, he did something special. JMM fought Pac 4 times, Floyd hasn't even fought him once, one thing JMM had that allowed that KO to happen is experience in fighting him, something Floyd does not. Floyd may very well beat Pac in the ring, but for 60 mil he was afraid to find out and was more concerned about his health.

Considering that Pac's resume has a considerably large asterisk on it about an unwillingness to take OSDT for years. His resume takes a big blow.

He is nowhere near Floyd's level consequently.
