I will follow the sport, just as I do now.

    Lots.

    Seriously, wtf dude?

Boxing abided after Louis and Robinson were no longer active.

After Ali and Monzon were no longer active.

After Tyson and Leonard/Hagler/Hearns/Duran were no longer active.

Boxing will be fine five years from now, and fifty.

    Boxing abides.

No one even has to necessarily emerge.

Boxing doesn't cease to be appealing if there isn't a "star".

Boxing will probably be better once Mayweather and Pac retire

Maybe the two next best fighters will not embarrass the sport by ducking each other

well yea id always be a fan but somebody always emerges as the next big thing

im sure ppl decades even a century ago probably said boxing was dead when a guy who was bigger than the sport quit but its still here and legend after legend continue to come out of the woodwork

The HW division wont die, but it'll be on respirator for a while after the Klitschkos retire

Just imagine clowns like Thompson, Fury, Arreola, Mormeck etc taking the belts

    The mere thought is cringeworthy

That's true, but even without legends boxing would be worth following.

There don't ever really even need to be any "larger than life, bigger than the sport itself" types.

    Never.

Not Money/Pacman level, not El Terrible/BFA level, and not even Dinamita level.

He can have a very bright future in the sport, but he'll never be what those guys were.

and as the sport globalizes to all these new places it will create a bigger interest and more fighters to watch

i mean eventually Cuba will open the door to pros

what if China were to get big at the sport
