    Saying this is like not saying it at alll, because no matter what happens haters are gonna come up with something. Either Pac was to small ( but wasn't smaller enough for cotto) or Floyd ran and didn't want to fight ( yet he's still in the ring out boxing Manny) Those are the main two excuses I can think of, but i'm sure new ones will surface after the fight.

  2. If Paq wins (which i think along with a lot of other people will happen) i don't wanna hear any BS from MAYRUNNER either...

    Here is a list of excuses that will be used;

    Pac is too small for Mayweather(complete bull****)

    Pac was distracted by the elections, the bad reviews for his shitty movie, and his marital issues(more bull****)

    Pac was not fully healed from the Cotto fight(big, stinking heap of bull****)

    No excusses from either side. Both are in their prime and can carry the weight, end of story.... Mayweather UD

    Floyd should win, Pac is smaller. Good big man > good little man.

    Same size/reach, I think Pac wins. Not the case, PBF wins.

    PBF: 5'8.0" Reach: 72" Comes to fight around 150++
    Pac: 5'6.5" Reach: 67" Comes to fight at like 144-145+, with HUGE eating to maintain

    For comparison's sake:

    * Think about how much bigger PBF was than JMM. He looked huge. Then think of Pac vs JMM
    * Cotto's reach = 67"

    Floyd is a larger guy, naturally. That matters, which is why Floyd cherrypicked Pac in his comeback. Only reason he came back was to try to regain P4P, make $$ against smaller guy.

    *

    Elections: Shouldn't be a big deal

    Healing from Cotto: Don't know, really doubt it as a factor. As long as his ear heals up, he should be good.

    Marital issues: No clue. Doubt it. He needs to get that under control. That can cause problems. I imagine Pac can keep this cool for one more big fight like this.

    Movie: lol

    The size is the thing.

    Cotto is a naturally heavier fighter than Mayweather.

    Also I get the distinct impression that very few people here would make the same excuses for Floyd is he was to fight Paul Williams!

    Good point. If Floyd were to fight and beat Williams, they would say that he cherrypicked a weight drained fighter who is susceptable to counterpunchers.

    How about this "Hey, mayweather is really good."
    "Yeah, so is pacquiao..... I hope the fight is good"
    "yeah me too"

    The crazy thing is that I thought Pac wasnt gonna look all that great against Cotto based on some of his training habits and glamour going along(Not because of 24/7) and surprisingly I think Pac is just as focused for a fight as anyone and keeps his head clear. Unfortunately I think Pac is gonna have to use all his strengths and get rid of his weaknesses to beat Floyd. He cant have any mistakes in this fight.

    The reason why guys like Big Reg are rolling this stuff out is because they want to be able to say -- with NO exceptions -- that the fight was legit, there was no size advantage (or any other advantage) and that Floyd proves he is the P4P #1, better than Pac, he should be ranked higher than Pac in all time rankings, etc.

    It's like working the refs in basketball.

    Now, Big Reg and others would say I'm doing the same thing but I've said this from the beginning, way way long ago. I'm not getting into any other excuses, but Floyd is bigger.

    If he wasn't, Floyd never comes back. I think even his fans know that. The JMM fight was a trial run for Pac, and you saw how huge PBF looked there.

    If Floyd wins, he definitely deserves lots of credit. But all factors have to be taken into account. That's reality.

    Floyd will never fight Williams, Margarito and likely not even a 40-year-old Shane. Everyone knows that, and knows what Floyd's M.O. is.

    Luke, I was thinking of something meaningful to say, but I think you put it better than I ever could.
