When the Mosley/Mayweather fight sells more PPV packages than Pac/Clottey any hope of a Pac/Mayweather fight is over. Mosley/Mayweather is the better fight and is being contested between two Americans under auspices of random drug testing. It has to sell more than the alleged PED using Filipino against a Ghanan the average sports fan knows nothing about.

PBF will want the lion's share of the purse and negotiations will stall there or get upset and end the clamoring by the average sports fan (and therefore a lot of the money). We have already gotten as close to Pac/Mayweather as we will ever be.

no he wont want the lions share (well he wont get it)

pacquaio's fight with cotto did 1.4m, i expect mayweathers to do similar with a 2 man show like pacquaios did. of course clottey fight will do like 800k because its a 1 man show

    both deserve 50-50

I can't imagine PBF settling for a 50-50 spilt when his last fight did over 150% of Pac's. A man named "Money" just won't do it.

Well if Pac doesn't want to give Mayweather more money, then maybe we will get to see Pac fight Mosley instead. I'm all for that one also, only if Mosley is competitive at least with Floyd.

I like a 60-40 split with the winner getting 60, the loser 40 and 50-50 only in the case of a draw. Actually not just for this fight but all fights!

He may very well demand a lion's share of the purse, but it certainly doesn't mean he deserves it. It should be just a simple 50/50. Neither Floyd nor Pac has the right to demand more than the other, as both bring equally attractive things to the table.

If the fight does fail to take place because of this, then the fault will be on the one who wanted more!

The fight with JMM was pre Oscar. Don't know if you've noticed, but Pac's name has exploded since then.

You either think too much of Floyd or don't know much about the boxing lanscape if you really believe JMM had nothing to do with the PPV receipts.:deal

FLoyd(like Pac) has only done huge PPV fights post-DLH. His name
recognition plus JMM's made that a huge fight.

No credit taken from Floyd but he still needs a good dance partner to get the big numbers(I guess the same can be said for PAC)

Maybe they can sell additional tickets by having incentive on who wins.

I dont usually believe what Roach says because he doesnt really have contact with pac outside camp. However he is in camp now with Pac so whatever he says has probably been discussed with Pac.

He's gone on record saying they will fight Mayweather for free, winner takes all. lol. Now that would create even more hype.

It's expected that Mosley-Floyd would probably outsell Pacquiao-Clottey in PPV buys (but I think the gate revenue will go to PAC-Clottey with the possibility of more than 40,000 live gate attendance).

But if by some miracle, Pacquiao-Clottey outsells Mosley-Floyd in PPV numbers, will Floyd ready to accept a lesser share of the purse split with Pacquiao?
