I have to admit, I was one of the guys who agreed with Hearn/Brook's decision to turn down Bradley. It seemed a logical choice at the time as they were so close to the IBF mandatory spot...

I remember IceMax saying when you get your chance, you have to take it. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but surly Brook must be thinking 'what if'?

I think they should have taken that fight, got guys like Thurman who are eager to fight anyone for a world title shot then you got Brook carfully being matched, for years they've been mentioning the names like Ortiz, Berto but Brook stayed on the ibf route because it was the easiest
Funny thing is I think Brook would have a better chance against Bradley than Alexander
Bradley is there to be hit and presses the action and loves a tear up, Alexander will run hold and spoil his way to a victory
It could come back to bite Hearn and Brook if this fight is canceled again

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, they had a decent plan and it didn`t work out through no fault of their own.I don`t think he would be thinking about that at the moment because obiously they wanted to go after a weaker champion first rather then risk it against Bradley who is a differant kettle of fish to Alexander.

In hindsight, when you look at Bradleys performance v Provodnikov which had allot to do with Bradley cutting allot of weight, a December fight might have been a good chance for Brook.

But I don't think there was ever a concrete offer and no guarantee Bradley would have taken the fight has he turned down others on that date.

Apparantly eddie said they can hopefully postpone it for a further 5-6 weeks.

I don't think they went the IBF route because it was the easiest champion, just they had faith that they could go that route and get the mandatory position. The IBF are typically good at sticking to rules and not changing the goalposts.

I'm not sure, if you look at the IBF's rankings its so weak, then when you see the others they are all stacked with names, it could be true about the rules and that but either way they wouldnt have gone down another route because they woulda had to take a tough fight along the way

I dont think theres any excuse for top guys turning down other top guys when good money is on the table!

But I'm not the man going into the ring! Just a fan airing my views on a somewhat debatable topic nowadays in boxing. Brook should have fought Bradley, just like Bradley should have fought Khan.

Eddie Hearn "you have to take risks, and if your good enough the paydays will eventually come along regardless, if your not you'll probably lose along the way".

Difference is Bradley knew he'd get a Pac fight, Brook knows Alexander was his only hope so to get offered a fight by Bradley, even if he just gave it his all for 6 rounds and got known overseas a bit more they coulda got him another fight against Selcuk Aydin or someone, where does Brook go from here? how does he get another shot at Alexander now
Boxing is a sport where you can't really plan the road ahead its all improvised, trying to make the perfect plan can backfire easily

It's not a very good style match up anyway. Both would be better off fighting a more aggresive guy. Thurman or Maidana would work for both.
Injuries happen frequently so all the more reason to grab the opportunites when you can. Still fancy Bradley would have beaten him though but at the least he would have learned from the experience and made some money instead of making bugger all.

You make it sound like Brook is done? It's pretty simple, Brook continues with who ever will make him mandatory for a world title shot, he keeps winning fights he keeps climbing the rankings with all the bodies!

    Eventually he gets his shot.

Pacquiao Bradley was 18 months down the road, and was questionable whether it would ever happen, Bradley should have fought Khan, no excuses.
