Yeah I view margo as a fight just above the ww limit even tho pac was still a ww. Says more about his legacy at ww than his legacy at lmw.

Yeah defending against lww's isn't too bad atm because ww is dry apart from ortiz. If floyd does fight ortiz then pac needs to take on the winner.

yes ortiz wanted 143 and berto couldnt make it so they agreed on 145.
It definitely helped ortiz more then it did pac vs cotto, also martinez beat williams at a 157 catchweight yet pac is the only one to get hated on because of a few pounds in one sided beat downs.

honestly I did not hear a peep about this catchweight between Berto and Ortiz. Had I known, I might not have waged so much :think

that was a close fight too

Why did Ortiz come in at 146 ? :huh
Also, it was Williams who wanted 157 catchweight but Martinez agreed to 158.

Catchweight fights have happened throughout history. When they are made as title fights it's a bit bs but most title fights are bs these days.

Ortiz is significantly bigger than Berto. The catchweight request was idiotic.

Cotto and Clottey are good wins. Clottey refused to go all out but thats because Pacquiao was too good.
Pacquiao failed to beat the top dog in the division so he cant be called the welterweight champion.

When he fought each of them fighters and the times he did, yes it was a cherry pick.

Pacquiao is the top dog in the division. Unfortunately for Pacquiao, some douchebag pretended to occupy the #2 slot and then refused to fight him - or fight anybody, for that matter - preventing Pac from establishing a new lineage.

I dont remember it like that. I remember Ortiz was trying to get a catch weight of 145 going but it didnt come through so the 147 was then settled on. I actually remember reading an article on it quoting Ortiz saying it would only make him stronger.
