A better question should be: "When JMM gives Pacquiao hell again, what would be the reason??"

bc he wont have to 'bloat' himself to make weight. they knew Floyd would rehydrate to 150+ so they tried to even it out , they won't have to do that with Pacquiao. this is what Nacho Berstain and Marquez said btw.

I think most are in agreement that Marquez is outsized and outgunned here , but wasnt that supposed to be the case at FW and SFW ???

Marquez has the measure of Pacquiao at least enough to make this fight competetive (or has he ??) , that would be the synopsis when evaluating the previous two fights , fights were Marquez was forced to fight at a relentless pace and was up to the task .

As a 37 year old lightweight is he still up to that task ???

Not for me , Pacquiao KO :deal

Last time Pacquiao and Marquez fought, they were 145 and 141 on fight night, respectively. Last time we saw Pacquiao's fight night weight (against Margarito) he was 148. Marquez was 145 on fight night in his last fight (against Katsidis).

Marquez has gained 4lbs since he last fought Pacquiao.
Pacquiao has gained 3lbs since he last fought Marquez.

Do you really think Pacquiao has outgrown him?

Because he tried to bulk up for Mayweather to match Mayweathers fight night weight which is likely 155+.

Pac on the other hand comes in at 148/149.

All JMM has to do is not dehydrate himself. Tell me, using just a bit of logic:

Fighter A: Dehydrates by hydrates back to 146/147.
Fighter B: Drinks all the water he likes, weighs in at 144, rehydrates back to 146/147 fight night.

WTF would Fighter B be dehydrated?

    What JMM did was:
If his natural weight was 145 and his weigh in weight after dehydration was 135. He didnt bother loosing the fat(not water) so his natural weight became about 150, he then dehydrated getting down to 142, and weigh in on fight night 150.

Well he put Marquez on his ass numerous times at a lower weight so it would make sense that with the added muscle & power Paquiao should finish him off this time

I dont know why these people cannot grasp these very simple concepts.

There is a difference between muscle/fat weight VS water weight. When someone goes up in weight, typically they have to add muscle/fat + dehydrate themselves so that they could match the weight of the guys in that division. This is not the case here, JMM will simply have to not dehydrate and he will match Pac's weight, cos Pac wont outweigh him by much.

Again, when fighters go up weight divisions, they are trying to match their opponents FIGHT NIGHT weight for that division, not the division weight. Most fighters can easily make the division weight 1 or 2 weight class above em, they worry about the fight night weight. JMM wont need to bulk to match Pac's fight night weight.

Tell you what, if PAC looks like he did in the last fight, Even a heavier, slower Marquez could give him absolute FITS with counterpunching and movement. A flat-footed PAC minus the bouncing and crazy footwork will have a considerably more difficult time.
