i can remember watching zbik vs sturm, and allot of ppl in germany were expecting sturm to lose and zbik to be the new and improved paper champ, but sturm decided to show up that night, tore up the script and made zbik quit. i enjoyed it because it was like sturm telling the germans i'm done when i say i'm done, it was kind of gangster imo. same with Pavlik-hopkins
To a lesser extent Judah-Paris. Paris was supposed to be the new hypejob but Judah was like na thats my title for life!
iran barkley - derrin van horn in a big way! the modern day cliche, lacy - calzaghe. hindsight is a ***** but....at the time it wasa torch passing excercise.
I totally agree. Many thought that the torch was already passed to Kelly Pavlik, who at the time, was the reigning (2007) Fighter of the Year. This really was supposed to be a formality, and perhaps, the end for Bernard Hopkins. Instead, something funny happens. Hopkins turns the clock once more, and the rest is history...
i picked BHop to UD pavlik- 116-112 type of decision more specifically - so did lot of fans, hopkins went 12 competitive rounds with then 3rd ranked P4P fighter - and ******s picked pavlik to beat BHop
