Peter used 'head movement to avoid a great deal of punches', that Maskaev wasn't throwing? Maskaev wasn't going to open up, and allow the chance of getting hit. Maskaev just wasnt throwing many punches, he had to be careful with his weak chin. Peter is about 8 inches shorter then Vitali, we'll see how good his head movement is when Peter is trying to close the distance to land against Vitali. I don't think his head movement is very good, and he is going to eat jabs & power punches from the outside.
Peter will have to deal with the jabs and the long reach of Vitali's, but if Vitali thinks it's going to be easy night, he's got another thing coming. Both men will be landing bombs, but when the smoke clears I believe Peter will be the last man standing.
Is it only one thread you are posting into? But you didn't answer the qustion - will you give him a credit for beating Peter?
40oz ... revoke your bet with heavyrighthand, you will have to stay and eat your crow for at least a day.
I don't know about that. Vitali is very hard to hit clean, and Sam Peter is not! Vitali has never been KD in his career, Peter was KD 3 times against Mccline and rocked by Maskaev in his last two fights. 'Last man standing', Peter couldn't knocked down super glass chinned Maskaev with a 20 punch combination at the end of the fight, he was still standing.
Vitali was rocked by a journeymen in Sanders, who couldnt even knockout glass chinned Rahman, and who's claim to fame is knocking out his glass chinned brother Wlad. Peter was knocked down 3 times against McCline, now shame in that, he's known for his early round power, just ask these top or former Heavyweight champions Brock, Bryd, Briggs, Grant, and recently Peter. I dont know whats so hard to understand Geppy, Vitali will not even be close to the same fighter he was nearly 4 years ago, there was never even one Heavyweight that came back after 3 years and was the same boxer he once was, even a optimistic 70% Vitali will struggle against Peter, I believe alot of people are ranking Vitali way too high, and there bubble will soon burst.
If the the most a fighter has ever been hurt during his entire career was how Vitali was against Sanders, that is very good. Vitali wasn't even hurt that bad, and not even close at all to being stopped. Are you questioning Vitali's chin? Peter was ****ing knocked silly, down 3 times and was on the verge of being brutally finished by Mccline. Quite a big difference.
It's been awhile since I seen the fight, but I remember Vitali getting knocked to the canvas in either the 1st or 2nd round, and they called it a slip, though I call it a punch and bad balance on Vitali's part, end yes Vitali was rocked by a straight left early on in the fight. Vitali does have a strong chin, I'm not saying he doesnt, but it's not titanium like McCall's or Tua's guys that never really been rocked or down in there whole career, while fighting way more top notch punchers than Vitali. Peter got caught with vicious uppercut in the second round that would of knocked glass chinned into a coma, and floored almost every Heavyweight fighting today. I make no excuses for the knockdowns, they happend and it's time to move on, and it's just more of a reason why he shouldnt take fights on short notice, **** like that can happen.
Peter couldn't Ko Vlad, what makes you think he is going to knock out Vitali? He sure as hell is not going to outbox Vitali.
This content is protected Vitali looks in better shape then Peter. They are in suits , but Peter looks like he has a fat puffy face. Vitali looks lean and in shape. You Peter fans are hoping Vitali is shot to ****, because they know an even semi- full strength Vitali will destroy Peter. If I was Peter, I would be pretty worried looking up and seeing how massively bigger Vitali is then him. And knowing how hard Vitali punches ( and that he lets his hands go, unlike Vlad who has been gunshy) , and that Vitali has a strong durable chin unlike his brother.
