Sorry about the provocative image that I posted earlier. I couldn't resist.

Anyway, to answer your question which was "what will your opinion be?"

I really don't think that Vitali's legacy should change, given that he is now 37 years of age, and hasn't fought in a full 4 years, plus has spent much of the last few years mending injuries. Even if Peter destroys him, it shouldn't be held against him anymore than any other champion who has come out of retirement to fight a reigning titlist, only to lose. On the otherhand however, should Vitali win, it would be a great credit to his legacy ( given the circumstances ).

Im sorry I never realized i lost? u were the one who said "peter is going to destroy toney in early rounds easily, way too big and powerful"

I said "toney is going to outbox peter cleverly and land counter right hands all night and win a decision"

I believe MY PREDICTION was much closer to reality. the judges bailed you out big time, everyone knows toney won the first fight.

what if he gets knocked out in 1-2 rounds or quits on his stool?

Im hoping Vitali can beat Peter as Peter is nothing, hes a poor mans David Tua - hes ok at what he does but a skilled fighter would make him look like an absolute bum .... Vitali isnt great either, his whole career is based on 'being competitive' with an under-prepared Lewis and Lewis still beat him on 10 days notice .... These guys, like the rest of the heavyweight division are ****, we must all kneel and pray that David Haye has the goods to wipe the slate and clean up this dog of a division, and dont even mention that bum Povetkin !!

So in other words, there is nothing for me to gain in a wager since you will be pursing more important matters.

I wish you luck in becoming a seal. However, take one last pointer; you could have had me on the wager. Being underestimated or using stealth is a way to win. You do not always have to charge up a hill. I’m sure the seals will teach you that.

Vitali has not had a fight in many years and was falling apart physically when he retired ... he is now in his late 30's .... unless Peter walks into a huge shot early he will bust up a rusty Vitali as he should ... still, the one thing I give both Klitsckos is that they are very smart guys ... Vitali must have something up so it may be interesting ...

I never thought poor Sam stood a chance outside of injury. He was selling his title for 4 million and looked every part of it in the ring.

I like peter big. Vitalis been away for too long. This will make Willard-Dempsey seem tame.

So a 2008 thread was bumped. I wonder if SuzieQ now has more respect for Vitali? Vitali has come back in his late 30's after 4+ years off without any warm up fights, and badly outclassed Peter. Since then he has defended his title many times, and at age 41, still is very formidable in the ring.

You know what's funny? This was the train of thought then, now this fight is held up as one of Vitaly's best wins and people were saying he was still prime up until Chisora gave him difficulties. I'm not saying it was you, but I think it points out just how weak this heavyweight era has been.
