Please Give examples of fights where one guy was getting handily beat up for several rounds and give your opinion on whether the fight should have been stopped earlier. When was it clear that the loser had no chance and was taking unnecessary punishment? Who's responsibility was it to stop it? When would you have stopped it if you were the referee? If you were the trainer?
Please no fights where the loser gets seriously injured

Fights that should have been stopped earlier by the corner because the loser demonstrated that he couldnt hurt the opponent so he didnt even have a punchers chance, and was getting beat up badly.
    cotto vs gomez
    cotto vs malignaggi
    Morales vs ayala
    Mosley vs margarito
    pacquiao vs margarito
    pacquiao vs cotto
    RJJ vs richard hall
    Roberto Duran vs Davey Moore
    Tyson vs Biggs
    Kovalev vs Pascal 2

Fights where the loser still had a punchers chance, but got beat up and should have been saved by the referee, even if the corner still thought they could get lucky.
    Lewis vs tyson
Trinidad vs Mayorga(smoger let it go on juuust a little too long)
    Bowe vs Golota 1&2

When it's clear the fighter doesn't/can't want to continue.

Calzaghe-Lacy, I thought the corner should have pulled Jeff out of there.

I know people rated his power but hoping for the big KO punch after a certain point was unrealistic and he was taking such a relentless amount of punishment.
His puncher's chance was down to about a million-to-one.

A vampire took a succubus up to his room,
    there they spent all night
    Arguing who had the right
to drain what and from whom

Obviously not by Nat Fleischer yelling from the crowd at ref Jersey Joe Walcott to "stop it".
