Look at this nut hugger. Maybe Pac and Mayweather should stayed at featherweight and not challenge themselves. What are you afraid of?
but but.. that monster sends heavyweights packing from Big Bear! James Toney 5′ 10″ [yt]MKO7tO6sXQM[/yt]
Certain people like SweetSciGuru and Pimp C want to see him LOSE. They know no one can beat him at 160.
Then why did his management say he would fight anyone 154-168? They didn't feel that he was too small. Also he was willing to fight Chavez Jr who's bigger than all of those guys. His size isn't a valid excuse and his team isn't using it so why are you? So just stop it.
What are you talking about? Are you suggesting that GGG become an obese steroid abuser and beat up a washed up HW legend fresh off shoulder surgery?
I want him to fight the best, he's already proven to be the best at 160 without even fighting the best there. They want no parts of him and won't figth him. Fighting guys like Soliman or Sturm do nothing for his legacy and are a waste. GGG fans like you don't want to see him challenge himself and face a live threat. Why is that? You hold other boxers to that standard but all of a sudden with GGG you want to hold his hand and are perfectly fine letting him rule over a weak division when there are elite fighters only one division up who are more than willing to fight him.:deal
If GGG can actually get meaningful fights at MW its nothing wrong with him staying if he can't he should move up now. No point in fighting bums under the excuse that you were ducked when you can do what great fighters before you did and go after challenges. I'd bet on Canelo taking out GGG within his next 3 fights anyway so the point is mute to me. I feel the same way about Ward both them guys are playing chicken scared to leave there comfort zone hoping glory is given to them instead of taking it only reason Ward gets the little pass he does is because unlike GGG he's already beat some of the best fighters. But Ward is scared to face the killers at LHW and GGG is scared to face the guys at SMW.
No Toney moved up from 160 to 68 the to 175 at HW he was a joke but he was a legit fighter at the three lower weights. Size isn't an excuse especially when you have the skills to back them up.
I don't doubt he's willing to fight anyone 154-168. If you are arguing he is, I don't see the problem. Just bringing up the point that he's smaller than most of the fighters who make such a jump. To my eyes, he's smaller, and statisically he appears to be smaller.
What exactly is your argument? I'm responding to a video of Toney beating up Holyfield in a Triple G thread, and asking what exactly the relevance is?
So? We all get predictions wrong. Bute was favored as I recall, so I wasn't exactly part of a lunatic fringe that thought that. I wasn' on boat with Bute was going to destroy and knock Froch out, and all that jazz, I just said he would outbox him. I'm sure you got your share wrong. I've got plenty right, feel free to dig through my history and post spot on predictions for other fights. Notice I even poked fun at the bandwagon fanboys in that quote, nice try, idiot. I've admited to being wrong on Bute/Froch several times over, only so many times you can go to that well.
If your feeling brave I offered an account bet on Hopkins/Kov nobody took me up on. Feeling brave? Its not like my past few scalps Nay_Sayer and Dinovelvt have even honored our bets.
