I recently started boxing I am 17. How many amateur fights should I have before turning pro? What age would be the best for me?
Emmanuel Steward use to say he didn't like seeing anyone turn over before they hit the - I think 50 - amateur fights mark? But ideally he preferred to see nearer triple digits. Might have been a bit more or less than 50, can't remember what his guideline number was, but more than a handful, as he often would be critical & skeptical of prospects that had only a couple of dozen or less.
