I've heard of over-training for fights but I'm wondering when will Floyd and Ortiz begin their trainig camps? I've heard 8 weeks out which puts them in the mid-to-late July kick off date. For Floyd, should he train a few weeks more due to his layoff? For Ortiz, should he start early working on his right jab to make it a better weapon in his matchup with Floyd? I'm thinking more like a 10 week training camp that starts light and ends light?

Around mid July. Floyd should be fine with a normal camp - they don't want to over train him. True he's had a long layoff, but he's known to be a gym rat and keep himself in shape year round.

Even though May has been out for soo long.. I bet Ortiz starts training hard before Floyd.... this is Ortiz's big shot... this is just another chip of the ole block for May... I mean, its a tough fight but he's going to do the same preparations he always does cuz his gameplan is almost unbeatable... plus he stays in shape year round normally...

But don't you think if Ortiz trains too hard too early he may have "dead legs" by fight night? I know Pac trained extremely hard for Mosley and he was cramping during the fight...maybe a younger Ortiz won't have the same issue...looking forward to updates during their respective camps!

There'll surely be a 24/7 for this right?

I am sure mayweather is in pretty good shape all year round and is just ticking over so I don't see him doing anything too differently. Apparently he has overtrained in the past for fights like the hatton fight. But he will be on top form as always IMO
