When some people say "Ali is the p4p GOAT", what do you think?

I stand by what I said about Ali having the single greatest win/KO in boxing history with the Zaire win.

But that doesn't mean he was the most skilled of all time (he wasn't, not by a long shot). People seem to confuse the 2 categories. Even at heavyweight you can argue many boxers were more skilled in the technical sense than Ali. But in terms of greatness, yes you can argue across all weight classes Ali was top 5 or even #1.

Nope, not even top 10 p4p imo but at heavyweight , it’d be hard to argue that he’s not

Hard for me to call him greatest p4p. But at heavyweight, he's certainly in the mix. Over the years, I've thought about him against the other greats. At the end of the day, I just don't know.

Ali is no 1 heavy, for me, and the no 1 heavy should be in the top 5 p4p, to me.

I wouldn't put him no 1 p4p, but he has one of the best resumes of anyone at any weight. It shouldn't count against him that he was a heavyweight in a p4p discussion unless he only beat blown up light heavies, which he didn't.
