I am a fan of Broner the boxer. He fights live opponents, he is not afraid, Matthysse after Maidana, he has already outdone with "big bro" when it comes to the balls department.

I never understood why people confuse boxer's personalities with performance. Granted, the likes of Margarito and Stevenson, who have cheated (plaster wraps) and done really bad things mean it's definitely hard to support them and many justifiably don't.

However with the likes of Broner and to some extent Mayweather, both get more hatred than almost any other active fighter and not enough praise for doing what they do very well: Fight at a world class level. Have they done anything to hurt anyone else when not in the ring? does burning and spending money affect anyone else but them? it's their choice if they want to act like assholes and make people hate them, it's gonna be them who has to live with it and receive the backlash. However, they're damn good fighters so i'm a fan of both (More so mayweather who I feel gets far too much criticism). It can be argued both are just putting on an act anyway although broner does seem to genuinely be arrogant and self centered.

The way I look at it is Jordan Belfort is scum and deserves nothing out of life. Yet I went to see the wolf of wall street and enjoyed it thoroughly. Thus, I watch broner fight and I cheer neither for or against him, I just enjoy watching him fight when he's in top gear and on form
