When the Alphabet Soup Commissions Get Silly with titles..

Well as a sports simulation gamer I need to alphabet belts because me and my buddies have a Fight Night league and the multiple belts are helpful because with one lineal belt it makes it harder for players/boxers who cant beat "the man" to ever become relevant. So with multiple belts, people stick around and get another belt which keeps more people interested. Plus it sets up potential mega fights. But I remember back in the day playing Knockout Kings in 1999 on the original Playstation with my buddies, there'd be ONE belt we'd fight for and all there was then was three divisions, Heavyweight, Middleweight, and Lightweight and you had to "beat the man". Problem was, those divisions were held hostage by Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Pernell Whitaker, and Arturo Gatti with everybody else being semi irrelevant. Matter of fact, I remember us having to RETIRE Lewis, Whitaker, and Ali just for other boxers to win those belts. Now with all the belts, it's more relevant fighters to go around. So in the real world, the alphabets suck, but are great for boxing gamers.

 

Translation: I'm a nerd playing a gay, unrealistic arcade game...

 

When they get silly with titles?! Not when, they are doing that right now..........

Your Dad reminded me of a boxer called Joey singleton, albeit competing at a higher level. Enjoyed the fights I found on youtube
