Leonard-Duran I Duran forced Leonard to fight his fight or Leonard chose to fight his fight either way Duran pulled it out.

 

Leonard is'nt the better boxer. Being able to run laterally does'nt make one a better boxer.
If both Duran and Leanard actually used their actual boxing skills from center ring which would include defense, dipping and sliding, side stepping and the like, while of course integrating their fistic skill of jabs, hooks, uppercuts, their other abilities like feinting, parrying and the such........
Duran imo based on these boxing skills would beat Leonard alot more times than not.
Boxing skill, not running ability people.


I think a better example of a better boxer losing to a better fighter is Hearns losing to Leonard at 147 lbs when both were prime.

 

Mayorga vs Forrest is a good shout though I think fight 2 is a better example you can really see Mayorga make Forrest timid by his brawling style over the course of a longer fight
