..so in the aftermath of the weekends two 'big' fights there is some interesting speculation about 'what now?' for Groves, froch, Pacquiao and Rios. upon reflection, and with a calmer analysis of Groves v Froch, George obviously raised his stock with a meticulous display of how to prepare and carry out a game plan by out-foxing the cobra (of which others have succeeded before-Dirrell, Ward + Kessler)-. IMO-I don't think he will get a rematch with Froch and will fast become the avoided fighter and join the who-needs-him club. Even though he deserves a fight against any of the elite and when he does I will back him, a brave/brash and intelligent fighter who has a good few years at the top ahead. As for Froch, I still believe that he is a deserved top-level champion with possibly the most granite chin we may have seen in modern times. He still holds his left too low and is not the greatest stylist we have seen, but he has earnt his mantle. Two fights left at the most and then should bow out, If the next fight is ward though, he may bow out early. He has still given me a great experience of being lucky enough to go to a handful of his Nottingham fights and experience amazing an amazing atmosphere. Pacquiao showed that he still has the elegant combination of speed and power that has seen him to many titles (and a certain amount of vengeance for the disgusting Ariza antics, ,which pleased me greatly!). Ringcraft is the defining word on manny's career for me, a joy to watch at times, but,,If the Mayweather gate is still locked, should he fight Marquez again?, personally a rematch with Tim 'concrete head' Bradley would be an ideal swansong. Rios , although braver-than-most could not cope with Manny-will he come away from this as hungry as before and jump straight into another big-level fight?- I am still unsure what I think his future will be,, but like Groves , is young enough to be taking over from the 'Manny's' of the game for a few years yet... ...does your 'dust settled' moment change your opinion of these fights/fighters-I know there is a good thread with the 'watch again, without Jim Watt commentary' going , where peoples opinions seemed to change...
what next???? groves gets justice in a rematch and a fair team of officials(i dont have much faith in that) pacman gets his justice against Bradley then the superfight v Mayweather 5 years too late
