until after it was clear he showed signs of slowing down, it was well known here in LA that Margarito was having trouble making 147 for the fight with Mosley, Roach knew that.
And get this, something you probably didnt know, Margaritos return fight in Mexico against Garcia, Garcia, was trained by Eric Brown, a wildcard trainer, they pre tested the waters with Garcia prior to setting up the Pac Margarito fight, they got a good look at him before they decided to take the fight.

And when they did take the fight, the added the catch weight of 150 simply becuase they knew he had trouble making 147, However what most people fail to realize, is the fact that the fight was first agreed to take place at 152, Freddy tried to get the weight switched down to 149, and Maragrito told roach to go ****himself..

They agreed on 150 and the fight went on.....weather you like to admit it or not, truth is Roach knows exactly when to take such fights, regarding Pacquiao, he took Barerra cus he felt MAB was all done, same thing with Morales but it backfired in fight 1.

Roach also knew DLH would not be comfortable at 147 which is why they demanded that weight class rather than 154 were Oscar had fought Mayweather at.
Hatton who moved up in weight to fight floyd and lose to floyd, was brought back down in weight for Pacquiao, Most argue that was hattons best fighting weight based on him being undefeated at that weight.

Reality is, taking off that extra 7 with the life style that Hatton lives, may have hurt him more than we think. When you cut down like that in weight, your chin usally shows it.
Look at Byrd vs George for example....

all I am pointing out here is that you can talk about Floyd but bring facts with you, Floyd has a few common opponents with Manny, and out of the few, Manny only fought one first, that was Marquez, the rest Floyd beat them first when they were fresher and he didnt demand any catchweights etc...

You really do not know how to read do you? I mean you just dont get it, take some time and learn, I want the fight between Pac and Floyd to happen, apparently one thing is holding this up, thats the testing, get that **** agreed on and lets see the fight.
I beleive Manny wins the fight, However I tend to also think Floyd wins it, but in all honesty, my hate for Mayweather is not as hightend as yours simply because I do not and will not discredit his acomplishments in the sport of boxing...

should the two ever fight, I will be in full support of a Pacquiao victory, However I beleive Floyd has a bigger chance at winning in that fight based on his counter punching abilitiys and his defense.

So suddenly I am a hater becuase I want Pacquiao to take some ****ing test? whats wrong with me wanting to see this fight happen? I mean when Mannys former conditioning trainer Just1n Fortune says Manny should take the test that should also count for something, I mean who knows Manny better you or Just1n? I am sure you feel he to is a hater.

I am left to beleive that Manny has something to hide becuase nobody in their right mind turns that kind of payday down, especially if you beleive your going to whip that ass...

if this makes me a hater fine I am a hater but not a hater of the sport, I am a hater of the Hollywood drama that continues to **** this sport.... and I am comfortble being the hater becuase I do not support fighters avoiding the biggest challenges over an issue that is this ****ing small.

Answer: When they are coming off an impressive win respectively AND are under GBP.

I think Floyd is always looking to one-up Pac and the idea is to stay away from Pac's leftovers. Floyd's not a KO artist therefore he isn't going to give out a performance like Pac when he fought those aforementioned opponents. So Mayweather goes after the guys Pac seemingly won't fight. Take a look at Floyd's last 3 opponents (including Ortiz). They're guys Pac should have fought before Floyd got to them.

I think the string of Judah, Baldo, Hoya has been an underrated string of wins. They aren't in the same context of fighting 3 guys considered big and strong. But I think the ability to fight different fighting styles of opponents seem to be very underrated on this board.

Judah was an elite level athlete with elite hand speed, reflexes, good power and counter punching ability. Plus he was a southpaw.

Baldomir complete opposite of Judah, Iron chin pressure fighter who outweighed Mayweather by 15pds or more.

Hoya big strong skilled guy with a strong jab, good defensive technique, left hook, outweighed Mayweather by 15pds or more.

    That sir is incorrect.

    Don't you notice the pattern?

Cotto, Margarito, Clottey are all Top Rank Fighters. And When Mayweather was up for renewal of his contract when he was a Top Rank fighter he wanted big money fights. So Arum wanted to throw him in there with Margarito and give him $8 million for his trouble but that fight would come with strings.

So Mayweather also wanted to fight:

Cotto for $10,000,00.00 after the Arturo Gatti fight but Cotto's camp declined back in 2005 citing that Miguel was not ready.

    Hatton for $10,000,000.00

De la Hoya for a $20 million guarantee.

Arum rejected Mayweather's proposals saying that he'd get $8 million for Margarito, $6 million for Cotto, $7 million for Hatton and De la Hoya was simply out of the question.

So what did Floyd do? Bought out his contract from Arum and fought Baldomir for $8,000,001.00

    De la Hoya for $25,000,000.00

    Hatton for $20,000,000.00

    Marquez for $15,000,000.00

    Mosley for $22,5000,000.00

De la Hoya, Hatton, Marquez and Mosley are all Golden Boy Fighters.

    Coincidence?

    Not likely. Ducking? Nope.
