I actually think kovalev could ko Stevenson in the first round, he hurts guys with jabs and does mean body work. Against Hopkins I'm not sure, he's so crafty I could see him neutralizing all of that.

Hopkins has earned the right to fight who he chooses. He wants Stevenson and that's a fight I would like to see. If he can beat Stevenson then I think he will go for Kovalev. He doesn't have anything to prove to the fans, only himself. Even if he loses, it won't be a big thing because of his age. He's in a win win situation.

Kovalev is way too busy for BHop.
In terms of personal safety, Hopkins should just focus on defending that IBF belt against Nadjib Mohammedi and then Stevenson...after they both fight Rod Salka.
