His prime is definitely the Liston fights, especially the first one where they tried to cheat and he still overcame that against a dangerous fighter like Liston. Ali's career, prime or past it, are just full of competitive 50/50 fights.

I agree his "prime" was then, but I see the Rumble in the Jungle as one of the greatest achievements/moments/victories in all of sports history, and especially Ali's career. Which is why I would put that down as his greatest moment. You are right, that first liston fight was one helluva performance and moment for him also
