Neither were particularly trash talking about their opponent, but about themselves and how good they were.

Witter was telling the world and his wife that he was the best, on the basis that he held the WBC title and had beaten Vivian Harris. Cleverly forgetting that he won the vacant title against Corley - who was shot, beat a roadsweeper (Morua) before coming unstuck against Bradley, who is decent but not spectacular.

Khan was 'above European level now' yet he had shamelessly ducked Thaxton and Murray. The only top 5 Brit 135lb'er he faced was Earl, who in hindsight was shot to bits.

Trash talking is what Mayorga does pre-fight for almost every fight, ie: talking about killing his opponent, calling his opponent a fat *******, or threatening to dig up an opponents dead granny and have sexual intercourse with the corpse. Its generally getting in your opponents face and pissing them off with your talk, trying to gain a mental edge over them in the forthcoming contest. Not everyone does it, not everyone who does are good at it. Mayorga is the master.

Khan and Witter are just ****-talking, trying to big themselves up and feed their individual hype trains. They are not generally disrespectful to opponents.

 

I think that's a slighting on Bradley.
