Not the best, but the most vicious IMO is Dempsey.

    Dempsey's a great call.

    Liston was mean, Foreman likewise.

For all his impeccable in ring manners and his classy and diplomatic demeanor Joe Louis was a cold hearted assassin when it came down to it. You didn't see any examples of him taking it easy on any opponent ( no compassionate gesture to the ref to save an outmatched foe). Joe's job was to destroy his opponent and that is exactly what he set out to do with extreme but beautiful brutality and poker faced viciousness.

If you mean least inhibition about hurting people, then Fitzsimmons or Dempsey.

Tyson only said that because Dempsey was all to him. From his haircut to picking up an opponent. Then of course Liston was next. He always mimmicced the past. His lock us in the cellar line was Jeffries. Etc.

Joe Louis is very underrated whenever these sort of discussions come up. I think it's because he was often quiet and soft spoken. The guy had a detached professional ruthlessness and he looked like a demon:

First knock out I ever saw live and in person was Mercer just completely obliterating Tommy Morrison’s head and face, with brutally timed shots. Jesus that knock out was fcuking terrifying.

Dempsey, Liston, Foreman, Fitzsimmons, Marciano, Louis. Any of those answers are acceptable. I'd personally pick Demspey

    Lucky so and so! ;-)

First fighter I thought of tbh.

Ray would have killed people had he not got pulled off of them, and I doubt he would have cared.

There was a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde thing going on with Louis!
