I've never dropped anyone in a fight. Although when the referee has given them counts my reaction is normally 'Thank God, I was getting tired, I need as much rest as this guy!' I never try to copy anyone in a ver batum way, I watch a lot of boxing so I pick up little tricks from each fighter and try them out, if they work I add them to my trick bag, if they don't I don't use them again.
As a lanky southpaw I try and emualate Hagler and Arguello, power is probably my main attribute and those two are the guys to watch when it comes to landing your bombs with timing and precision rather than pure speed.
I've been told that I hit hard, but the shot I can get the most into is my right hook to the body or my right uppercut. The first shot I dropped a guy with was a straight right, it played out almost exactly like the Bernard Hopkins - Joe Calzaghe knockdown, just not as calculated or set up as nicely as Bernard's was. I faked a jab and threw a straight right down the pipe which caught the guy flush on the cheek and knocked him onto his butt.
Mayorga wasn't even born yet when I stopped boxing, but I sometimes tell people I was an amartuer version of Ricardo Mayorga, except I went outside to light my cigarette:yep
That's high praise on all accounts, especially Mosley considering his style allows his athletic ability to be on centre stage.
DLH and Pacquiao. Mainly their combination punching. And as amateurs Balado, Rigondeaux and Kindelan.
 Damn, boo - I thought our generation gap was a matter of maybe a decade. Mayorga's nine years older than me! He's also underrated by most as a boxer-puncher, and possessed an extraordinary right uppercut.
