There was no knockdown in Vitali/Sanders fight period. I see a lot of wishful thinking here.

This is a very risky fight. Apart from Wladimir, Briggs probably has the best chance in boxing of stopping Vitali. No one since Lewis has managed to physically bully Briggs and he is the sort of fighter that can age well (like George Foreman). I still don't make him the favourite, but Vitali isn't going to put him away early. When's the last time he's done that to anyone?

Briggs was out boxed by Jameel McCline, and Ibragimov.

I was a member before Briggs won the WBO Strap in 2006. Briggs has already changed my life because I bet large on that fight and I ended up getting engaged to a Colombian model on the vacation I took with the money I won from his KO win over Liakovich. I am laying a large bet on Briggs again this time around and can`t wait for this fight it should be pretty excitting no matter what happens but my firm prediction is Briggs KO 3.

A very logical one, Briggs is known for coming out strong..

I will give you that. I guess my point would be that I don't see him going to many rounds.

That seems likely to me too. He has to know the only chance he has of winning is knocking out Vitali early. I really hope he doesn't show up to just survive instead of going for the kill.

Thing is, I don't see any reason why Vitali won't just fight moving backwards like he did against Arreola. He does that and Briggs will tire out chasing him.

Exactly. A footwork fight and opponents always seem to underestimate that skill of Vitali's. He does move in and out and does a real good job at angles. And throws both hands from that movement.

The guy that does not move well is Briggs. A plodder at best. it's going to take about a 400% increase in his activity level to stay on the same page as this opponent. And Briggs has minimal upper body movement. When he does bother to bend at the waist it's so slow and labored he'd better not even try it against this opponent.

A lot of these factors never come into play against 3rd tier opponents but they will be for Briggs soon enough. Things like hand placement. Or bringing his hands back high after punching. Not falling in. Defense.

Briggs lost weight because he is concerned about his stamina. The weight loss was to be able to make the ring walk.

Good thing Briggs has a hair so thick it would protect his head from damage when he gets knocked out cold flat on his back!

All this talk about Briggs winning is giving me false hope :D

I've already put $50 on for him to win, Briggs paying 10-1
