Andre Ward is also popular in the UK. That's what the Super Six helped him achieve. Its a damn shame he blew it and didn't follow up. Instead he went on a 2 year war against Dan Goosen and lost every time. :nut
Kovalev, Golovkin, Margarito etc are FIGHTERS!! Fight anyone anywhere anytime Ward, Canelo, Cotto etc are prima donnas A Billy Goat a chicken & a Pink fairy
Or put on 8 pounds, unless it is to face a retired Carl Froch. Obviously a different type of 8 pounds required to face Ward
That's because it was in Vegas, a very saturated and picky market. Vegas is used to big fights and you compete with a lot of other entertainment when you fight there (music, shows, UFC etc) Plus I believe Shumenov-Flores was across the street and Haymon gave a bunch of free tickets for that. I think Duva should have staged Caparello and Mohammedi fights in Montreal and build his fan base there.
WTF does how many fans a fighter has, have to do with the significance of a win? And what does it matter if Ward is considered boring by some? You're the one not making sense. Come at me with intelligence, not that ...whatever the hell that was. It will be a solid win, but I think Ward will get overcredited for it. I think stylistically Barrera poses few problems to Ward's style. GGG rightfully gets ripped for being over-credited for wins against ok opponents and this is no different to me. Barrera hasn't done a damn thing to be considered anything more than a decent win.
Kovalev is the HBO guy and Ward is not? What is Ward? Does Kovalev have a part HBO commentator job?:huh
