His dominating performance against a top 5 P4P fighter in Chico Corrales was an amazing feat, but he was still very young and his skills weren't as honed as they were by 2005 (9th year as a professional) when he obliterated Gatti.

I will say from 130-140, there isn't anyone I'd favor against Floyd if he's at his best (i.e. no injury to his hands or shoulders.)

 

Ellerbe is not lying. Canelo and his team were desperate for the fight and payday and said they would come down to a catchweight. The idiots did not need to do this but because they are incompetent and desperate they did. At the 7 day weigh in Canelo weighed 157.4 pounds. His head looks to big for his body. How he loses another 5.4 pounds by Fridays weigh in I don't know. This is a guy that struggles to make 154 pounds and should be fighting in a higher wright class but prefers to fight smaller guys who are handicapped like Josepito Lopez.
