When was Sonny Liston born?

Sorry I am sad, but I am not quite on Dire Starits yet!

 

If I remember in the Devil and Sonny Liston book, there's a quote he gave to a reporter. Something like:

"I was born in 1932 because my momma says I was born in 1932. Are you calling my momma a ****in' liar?"

 

I really don't G.A.F. when Liston was hatched.... But I'd guess he was between ages 30 to 34 when he KO'd Floyd Patterson for the title in 1962.... That dates back to 1928 thru 1932...... That's good enough for me..... By Dec. 30, 1970, Sonny Liston was no older than age 42...... Yeah, I'll buy into that notion..... Cheers....

His daughter said she was 19 in 1964 (after some reports had her at 22). If she was telling the truth then she was likely born in 1945, this would have made Sonny 13 when she was born, which was possible of course.

 

Sonny being from the farm / hood and having two-dozen brothers and sisters, does NOT shock me at all that he was pumping some ***** as a young teen.... Chit, that still goes on today in the rough areas' of the nation.... However, since society is so hellbent on being politically correct these days, we don't like to talk / discuss it openly.... So therefore, we as a nation, live a lie / lies....... Jesus....
