When was the last time a heavyweight with a 76 inch reach won a heavyweight title?

Your thread request was already addressed. Andy Ruiz was the last guy to win the title with a reach 76' or below as recently as 2019. There was also Chris Byrd with a 75' reach winning a title against Vitali in 2000. In addition you have 74' reach Roy Jones winning the title in 2003.

If your claim is that people with a 76' reach or below cannot be successful in the modern era at the world level, that is statistically and factually wrong. That's 3 different boxers and 2 of them beat noteworthy elite super heavyweights while being much shorter.

2000 and 2003 were 20+ years ago and Vitali got injured and had to retire from his fight v Byrd.

The first question you should ask, is when did we last have a world class heavyweight swarmer?

Such a man will come again, win a belt again, and probably have a reach well short of 76''.

There will never be another Mike Tyson and there will never be another 5`10 heavyweight champ either, Ruiz has amazing hand speed, he might be able to beat Usyk.

    OK, let's start small.

Could there be another David Tua, who has things together a bit better, who picks up a belt?

    I don't see why not.

    Could there be another Tyson?

I am not saying that there couldn't be, but a lot of variables would have to align for that.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's actually over listed too as he's clearly not a legit 6'2".

He looks about 6' with Mike, assuming Mike is still 5'10" at this age.

Mike had a 71" reach, wouldn't be surprised if Ruiz is around there maybe 72". Both guys with short arms for HW but very fast hands.
