When was the last time a ppv held a double header with 4 different headliners?

Thats the one I remember as well, I think that one took place in late 04. Though I dont remember the McCall/TOS fight being shown on TV, it may have been on the card though. Ruiz/Golota was a terrible fight, one where Golota floored Ruiz twice and still didnt get the nod, though it was funny seeing Ruiz' manager swearing at the ref and then being forced to leave the arena, then walking over to King saying "I will sue that ****ing ref for anything he's got". The Holyfield/Donald fight sucked, one-sided win for Donald. Bryd/McCline was a competitive fight, one that which showed McCline dropping Bryd with one punch. The Rahman/Meehan fight was the last time we seen Rahman at the top of his game, he landed several overhand rights that eventually made the ref step in and stop the fight, which was a dominating win for Rahman that possibly scared Vitali into not wanting to fight him in 05.

Not enough money is the bottom line. I think the MargaritoWilliamsCintronMatthysseGattiGomez cocktail was a perfect storm that won't happen often.

I don't even need two possible headlining fights on the same card, but the undercards of PPV fights have been awful lately. It's like the promoters dont even care one bit about it. Give us, at the very least someone who could possibly be fighting the winner of the main event or a guy who is in line to headline his own event in his next, or next to next fight.
