floyd has fought big names but always when they were either weight drained or while mayweather was still at the top of his game and they were on their way down.

3 fights that come to mind for being evenly matched are, castillo, judah and corrales. castillo fight could have gone either way (i had castillo winning) the other 2 fights were good wins.

in my opinion this is floyds biggest test of his career. if floyd schools pac, we have to give him props and admit there is simply no one on his level in his era.

granted pac and may are not in their prime anymore but this fight is fair imo because they are both still elite and the best fighters in their division, they are both older so we can't say he waited for pac to be washed up.

no excuses, let the best man win.

Quick note: How come no one ever talks about opponents fighting Floyd Mayweather outside of his prime?

Not many fighters near his level anymore. Pacquiao is the only one left, then there's a big gap.

You're contradicting your mind games bruh.... but with comments like this, you have to give Floyd credit if he wins.

Manny's high energy style ages quicker. If they fought 5 years ago, this would be a wildly different fight. Back then, Manny could keep up the aggression at a high level for 12 rounds 3 minutes a round. Today, he can't and thus, Floyd has the advantage due to his lower energy style.
Always knew if this fight ever happened Floyd would wait till they were older.

You guys keep saying this but who did he take damage from other than from JMM KTFO6? Quit making excuses already. Pac is the younger guy and has less ring age. Floyd has been fighting since 5 and was forced to box by his disciplinarian father. You think Floyd Sr. gave Floyd Jr timeouts like they do to kids today?

You claim you vote against Pacquiao as a mind game (to elevate Pac's victories by sliding the odds against him) yet you verbally claim Pacquiao wins. Counter productivity.

if I did that REALLY believing he would lose rather than doing it for mind games than I would agree with you but that is not the case because I have done it for Bradley and also chris mayweather is no different to me

Its not exactly his fault that no one is at his level though (debatable because he retired once and has had a habit of fighting fighters on a certain time)

Or a more apt question would be, how many fights did Floyd fight where he was the heavy underdog, where he was supposed to lose?

Then flip that and ask it of Manny. lol is there even a comparison?

Neither man has been favored to lose that often. Pacquiao I think was the underdog in the ODH fight, and not again until now. Which he isn't much of an underdog here.

It's not Floyd's fault nobody is on his level.

He just makes top fighters look like amateurs.

Mosley in 2000 on his level. Pacquiao in 2009 on his level. Morales in 2005 at 130 on his level. Fights were there to be made.

Right. The real question is whether Pac is on his level. May 2 will reveal a lot.
