I'm curios to know when / who? and what position does that put Howard Foster in? Will he need to do something to prove his worthiness as a ref to the IBF?
It was the same kind of situation bias from the officials :1. Miscalcualation from the judges where the correct score would change the outcome of the fight. 2.Inappropriate conduct from the referee which is alleged to have affected the outcome of the fight. 3. Misconduct on on the part of the judges and referee which is alledged to have a material effect on the outcome of the fight.
Good shout but that was slightly different circumstances, one was blatantly cheating! Not sure if that was IBF I think it was WBA which then questions why the IBF didnt...I could be totally wrong though and probably am!
No the IBF 'investigation' found he did nothing wrong (PEDs or otherwise) and therefore he got to keep the belt
Ah that's it thanks, I remember now! The WBA stripped him but the IBF didnt....bit weird but not a surprise. Just wondered if there were previous examples like Froch / Groves where it's been down to referee's decision! They are basically saying the ref was wrong and ordered a re-match but not overturned the decision? All seems a bit odd...just wondered if there were similar examples.
