Ward and Kovalev was both p4p ranked when they faced off, as is Canelo and Golovkin and Loma and Rigo.

When was the last time we had three fights between p4p ranked fighters in one year?

    Pound For Pound
    1. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    2. Manny Pacquiao
    3. Ronald (Winky) Wright
    4. Jermain Taylor
    5. Bernard Hopkins
    6. Marco Antonio Barrera
    7. Rafael Marquez
    8. Ricky Hatton
    9. Jose Luis Castillo
    10. Joe Calzaghe

    Hopkins-Wright, Mayweather-Hatton, Pacquiao-Barrera 2, Hatton-Castillo

Some of them may have changed though. Barrera had lost a good fight with JMM earlier in 2007 before facing Pacquiao again, and Castillo may have exited the rankings after not looking good earlier in the year before facing Hatton.

Boxing is making better fights, if only the judges were better. And they better not rob anyone tonight.
