when was the last time zab judah fought a top fighter and won?

    i don't know about you guys but lately i've been wondering why zab judah gets all the big name fights and never wins? In my oppinion he's only beaten two big names.Micky ward and cory spinks(junior witter may be arguable).Not saying zab is a terrible fighter but i don't think he is a top notch fighter and it seems like he's been used as a stepping stone for most of the elite fighters he's faced.

    He was a quality amatuer with massive talent.

    I just think when Tszyu wrecked him he did it mentally. Judah for me has never been the same. Never.

    Spinks was his last big win.

    That was years ago.

    But he was up for the Mayweather and Cotto battles i thought.

    He took PBF 12 rounds were Hatton got flogged.

    Me ive always believed it just depends which Judah turns up.

    Thats very true. He still has the toold he just doesnt take chances, I think Tszyu had a serious impact on his confidence. Then the loss to Baldomir was the finale nail in the coffin for Judah mentally in terms of ever beating top notch competition again.

    Spinks a good fighter very far from great and that will be 4 years ago come February. Infact Judah has not beat any notable fighters since then unless you count Cosme Rivera.

    Beating Spinks was what won me over Judah. I thought this guy has the potential to be an ATG. But when Kostya KTFO'd him I couldn't really believe it and felt sick for a whole week. The way he got KTFO'd was just so sad. Then there was the embarassing loss to Baldomir.

    As someone here already said, The loss to Tzsyu has put the fear in him and the loss to Baldo pretty much destroyed his confidence alltogether.

    He's a very special and talented fighter. Its just his weak mentality that is keeping him from achieving his full potential.

    And the fact that he's fighting about 7 lbs past where he should be. We'll see what's up when he goes back to 140. Personally, I think he can make some noise there, and probably beat everyone except maybe Hatton.

    Spot on. If he stayed at 140 he would be in charge of a weak ass division.

    It has indeed been awhile.... his last big win came when he won the undisputed championship from Spinks. Not sure what year it was buts its been a long time.... love that fight.
