There's very little doubt, once a fighter has chosen a way out, it's easier to do so again. That's human nature. But it's also human nature to try prove people wrong, and the next time AJ is struggling he might choose to stay and take his punishment out of pride when deep down he wants no more. It's down to the individual, I guess. I mean, until the first Bellew fight - when people thought of Haye - many saw a man who, rather pathetically, used a bad toe as an excuse for a loss, but after he fought on with a ruptured Achilles, people saw him in a different light. Maybe he was trying to prove a point? This is the fascinating dynamic with Joshua.... how will he respond when the same storm brews in a few months time? Make or break, for me...
Yes I agree mate..Haye was making up for the toe excuse when he could've legitimately had excuses for his loss to Bellew, he was a cripple in both fights and never uttered a word just said " I lost to the better man"
LOL! I agree! Just responding to : "someone so highly rated by most" At no point in that fight did Ray look like a superior fighter. As he was the betting favorite was my intended response. Ray the betting favorite or..someone who was highly rated as younger, faster boxer and not ring worn look so beatable. Some say got his butt kicked. Duran had little bruising, whereas Ray was swolled up from the toes up!! https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...tting-odds-were-for-duran-vs-leonard-i.68348/
In hindsight, people didn't considered him anything special but before the fight most people picked him to win by KO.
