:goodYeah that's exactly it. Enjoy the forum or **** off. Too much negativity and moaning going on. Even more pathetic when you consider that another forum is here now.

There are good posters here. Enough of them to make it worth posting. Trolls will always be there but people can put them on ignore if they're that bothered. Of course that would be too logical. Much better to tell them how much of a spastic they are after every post they make.

Some people don't know **** about boxing, but hey, they might learn something. Remember how Laz was ridiculed when he first joined this forum for not knowing anything other than Amir Khan? Dude probably knows more about boxing than me now (not that it's difficult).


PK is a character. Whether you agree with him or not, without him, this place wouldn't be anywhere near as fun. There are others like him. This forum needs them. Some people take their insults too seriously.

If you think a poster is ****, just put them on ignore. If you think the forum is ****, **** off.

Never saw it as bullying, but sometimes it was just people assuming their opinions deserved respect without earning it. That's true of all forums in my experience.

Its for that exact reason that I have never became too friendly with anyone on brit ESB since I started posting here years ago, if you treat this place like a boxing facebook? You quickly become too scared to say anything incase you offend a poster that likes you! Funny thing is, cos of the stance I take, I dont even notice cliques. I notice the good posters, & thats the way I like it.

The news that a rogue element has broken away from brit ESB for self betterment purposes makes me laugh, dont they realise that on a forum you are only as good as your last post & are very quickly forgotten

I bet to a MAN whoever these advanced brit ESB beings are, they advanced search in the vain hope that they are being missed, & are fast realising that their shoes that they thought so big to fill have already been jumped into

I bet the Icelandic guy jumped ship, when I think of clique, he was one of the worst. Im not even kidding when I say I cant remember the name, but he couldnt get enough of feeling important here:blood

 

I think some people have a bit of paranoia over this supposed clique, its a ****ing forum for gods sake, who gives a **** if somebody talks to somebody else. This shouldn't affect your everyday lives, its only the internet after all.

Only been around 6 months, but post pretty regulalry and I've never noticed a clique in here. Then again I'm not th sharpest tool in the box. I've always found it pretty freindly except for a well known poster who saw my Thai avy and mistook me for a 10 year old MMA fan.

The only place I've noticed a clique is in the main with the slick and black crew and that's just cos they're so blatant about it.

 

Somehow you have to earn respect for your opinions?

Its not as bad as it was a year ago.
The posting quality is down a lot from a year ago, a lot of people with little to offer. However its far less cliquey, it got to a point where any new poster who suggested something outside of the accepted wisdom of a select group was ridiculed and told to **** off.

 

To be fair though Bill, I can see why posters would want to be 'in with the incrowd' at times, cos it has its perks!
I have no doubt if I let my guard down & spoke to my fellow posters as true friends? I can bet after all the years I have posted here I would have met up with some fellow posters, had a beer & a great laugh, probably got a few invites to gyms & met some great trainers AND fighters:deal

IMO, manning up & posting your true thoughts is great, but sometimes I do think to myself if I had went the other way and treated my fellow posters as friends? I could have had an even greater time here...

Its a double edged sword in my opinion, you man the **** up & people respect you & your opinion, but you make friends here & you can meet many great people, posters & even fighters! Posting here for nearly a decade, I see the power this place has for a young boxing fan, its a bit of a hobsons choice when you make that first post...

 

It's the internet, people get a bit too sensitive, I used to post here before the site went ape**** around 2003 and it was worse back then.

People should be entitled to say what they think and people should be able to just **** off from the site if they want.
