Why thank you So what way am i supposed to interpret " your an in bred ****wit who knows very little about the sport of boxing " or words to that effect ?? are you kidding me ??
Been, not mycup of tea. Hope they make it work, they started it because they did not like it here, so the last thing they and the people who did not leave need is to see them crawling back here to a place they didn't like.
His account name was David Haye or David D Haye. I can't remember what fight it was, it was ages ago. Before he even fought Thompson.
I used to enjoy the fact that Bunce posted here, although some of the flak (or criticism call it what you will) he copped was justified in light of his Boxnation allegiences, specifically some of the double standards he displayed once he got the gig. That being said there does seem to be a annoying trait amongst some to slag off 'names' on here unnecessarily, some of the crap the pros on here have gotten from complete nobodies is embarrassing. I would like it if Bunce were to come back although it must be remembered that the majority of his posts were purely to plug his show and this was pointed out by a number of posters after he left. I guess he could only tolerate 'debating' with some of the idiots for so long
Dunk i remember years back in some thread about a 6 foot 12 Irish boxer and all hell was breaking loose. I told all you nutters we'd be better off having a BBQ get on the beers and we'd all get on ****ing brilliantly, and you all agreed. It changed the fabric of the thread.:good How the devil are you anyway mate?
I remember when Dunky insisted that Hatton had thrown a sombrero into the ring as Alex Arthur lost to Gomez. We argued about it for ages until I found footage that clearly showed it wasn't Hatton and that his was on his back as he climbed into the ring to both congratulate Gomez and offer his commiserations to Arthur. It was the day that Dunky lost a lot of his rage and became a placid Scot.
I remember the old hat in the ring like it was yesterday. I've got a memory like an athlete. :freddy:freddy:boogie
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Similar thing happened with Montoya over in gen-pop. His was worse, in fact. He had a herd of *****s, *****-alts and other wannabe reporters with agendas raining down on him. Credit to him he stuck by his guns, replied in great detail, and gave some heat back.
I think in terms of a clique, people that have actually met or know each other quite well are bound to interact differently to those who converse solely on here. Personally speaking I could name Dan, NO MAS, BrummyLad and Flea as posters who I've met (Dan & NO MAS several times) - and I probably have more of a craic and a bit of baiting with them, as opposed to those who I've not met. This isn't any different to the likes of Strike and Doyley, who I understand are quite good mates, and Stuey too..... or Squeezy & Lacey etc. I wouldn't say the Brit forum is any more cliquey than it was when I joined, many a time I was called a no nothing by Dunky or Beatboxer.... or accused of being a racist by Scurla A lot of the novices were better back then, the more recent ''noobs'' like Bill etc fitted in fine, because they just acted normal, as opposed to trying to make a name for themselves by calling other posters twats, or accusing pros of being duckers/glass jawed frauds/wankers [delete as appropriate]. If I didn't think Billy Nelson loved baiting people I'd be surprised if he ever used a computer again, some of the stuff he's copped in the past year has been shocking, personal abuse, threats, all because Ricky Burns didn't fight the latest Yank hypejob and then did a number on someone who many (inc me) expected to knock him out. I don't recall Gallagher getting too much grief, less than he gets now in his absence. The only thing that annoyed people was the 40 odd-0 t-shirts that he kept changing for each fight as the victories were racked up. I doubt ''X number of KO losses and counting.....'' would have the same effect on people :hey
