When Wilder gets hurt he goes into a shell looks timid BAD SIGN

He did what he needed to survive he was clearly badly hurt and was in no condition to fight back. He was able to tie up Ortiz a little but that wouldn't work vs Joshua. The way Joshua just shrugged off the much bigger and stronger Wlad, no way a 214-220lbs Wilder doesn't get rag dolled on the inside.

hard to say. Sometimes folding up and covering up the fighter can absorb punches better and recover. Had he thrown in the middle of being hurt, he could have been hit cleaner when he was not expecting it. This fight was good for Wilder mostly, but the wobbling part will give Joshua's people some confidence to test his chin. I still think Wilder needs more experience. A few more fights to learn more defense an to work his jab.

 

maybe, but the fact that he won is in his favor. Ortiz had the fight to win. I am surprised Wilder said he would beat Tyson, when last night proved Mike would have knocked him out in a couple of rounds. But this is a learning experience for Wilder. He can only get better, but Joshua is a solid fighter. Hard puncher etc, and if Joshua gets by Parker then I favor Joshua by knockout. It will be an exciting fight I admit that. I would order it on PPV.

I agree. I think if Joshua sits back and uses his jab and counters Wilder, he can win.. And when he hurts him, he should not go for it too hard and sit back and keep countering. When guys go for the knockout they can be countered the most.

 

Another Wilder win and as usual a wave of desperate attempts to detract from it. I love how much anguish Wilder causes.

 

If he hadn't gone into survival mode Ortiz might have knocked him out before the bell.

 

Wilder goes into a panic when under pressure.

 

The robotic and predictable Joshua will be demolished worse than Stiverne so it doesn't really matter since he will never have Wilder in trouble.
