When wilder stopped Ortiz why did he go and stare at the commentators?

He was talking to them. You could see that pretty clearly if you watched. Audio didn’t pick up what he said, but he was definitely talking to them.

The angles and distance dictate fighting terms. That’s the geography (and geometry) and real estate. I guess you’d rather “he hit him with a left, oooohhhh, and he missed with a right” style of commentary, but I like the fact that you’ve got guys calling the fight who can discuss what’s happening intelligently.

 

He was bragging about winning with his “funtamentals.”

 

Who was Wilder trying to get at in the post fight interview?

 

Saw on Twitter that Big Baby Bibb Miller tried to come into the ring and cause a ruckus. NYSAC shut him down.

 

I thought Malignaggi was excellent on the commentary and they did a good job.

Wilder will watch the fight back and agree with much of what they were saying.
