When will Alvarez fight a True Slick African American?

Put anyone in front of Alvarez and he will do the same as he did to Hatton and Rhodes and his 34 other opponents, including (some african american slicksters as u put it), beat them at will has and when he choice's. The kid is a amazing talent, only 20yrs old and improving all the time. Ask Floyd "big bollocks" Mayweather the african american slickster to take his thumb out his Arse and come out his comfort zone and take El Canelo Alvarez on, i don't think he will, do you ?

 

The 'slick african american' fighter debate is absolute drivel. As much as i admire Hopkins, i dislike the fact he bought this up in the media and its now continually trotted out, admittedly mostly on the GF.

Alvarez is very talented, and for someone whos only 20! I don't care who Alvarez fights, as long as they're competant enough to give him a real challenge. My ideal next fight for him would be vs Cotto, but with Cotto-Margarito II due in Dec, its highly unlikely.

Failing that, i'd probably say vs Ricardo Mayorga in Sept (that fight should provide some fireworks if the Cotto fight was anything to go by), then Chavez Jr early 2012.
