When will an American boxer hire Nacho as their trainer?

He has to be one of the smartest if not the smartest trainer in boxing. He always has something interesting to say when asked about anything boxing related.

His style would work with African Americans too as they tend to be counter punchers. We see Latin fighters work with American trainers through a translator.

Why don't the brothers hire Nacho?

Language barrier. And he's known for being pretty moody and difficult. At least that's what I've heard.

Yeah Nacho is funny but he's also very stubborn, or at least that's what I've heard. I've heard that he insists that his fighters follow his demands to a T, and that he doesn't tolerate anything less.

Most trainers just try to tweak an established fighter's game, but Nacho demands that his guys follow the style he perfected in the beginning with Gilberto Roman.

Granted, it is a pretty perfect style, and every Beristein fighter has had amazing success with it over the years. But champs with established resumes seem to chaff under Nacho's demands. Wasn't that why he and Angulo split, because Nacho was really negative and critical.

I'm not saying that its a good reason. After all Nacho is a genius. But he seems to have an unusually large ego for a guy holding a spit bucket, and it appears his personality rubs a lot of guys the wrong way, hence the split with Mares as well.

Nacho is most effective when he starts from scratch with someone. Not sure he's a "let's make some adjustments" kind of trainer.
