Hunter would have been stopped if his team cared about him. Tabiti couldn't put a dent in an old Cunningham who had recently been to hell and back against Glowacki or Tapia. He's only stopped cans and Kayode who is pretty much useless at any real level and has been stopped in most of his losses.

That logic is extremely flawed. So by your logic Marquez couldn't KO Pac since he couldn't even KO a shot Alvarado coming off being pummeled by Ruslan!

Be honest though, the only reason you're saying that is to try and boost Usyk's resume against an opponent he had major issues with and was getting smashed to the body!

And what exactly are you basing Tabiti stopping Hunter on? Or beating Gassiev???

Anyone with a brain rates Hunter over Tabiti. Hunter is more accomplished in the amateurs and pros.

Tabiti may not enthrall, but he's probably the first guy I've seen to completely nullify (an admittedly faded) USS Cunningham. I think he's at least as good as Hunter, and quite possibly better. Happy he's in the WBSS, and interested to see how he fares against the likes of Bredis and Glowacki.

Who, exactly, has Hunter defeated that was as good as even a faded version of Cunningham...?

I'd favor Maris, yeah...But I think AT has at least as many moments as Perez did, and probably more.

I don't think this version of Cunningham is any better than Isiah Thomas or Kiladze. But even apart from that he proved himself to a certain extent even in defeat by performing with credit against Usyk.

Hey, let's try a good ol' triangle theory, Hunter did far better against Usyk than Glowacki did, yet Glowacki did far better against Cunningham than Tabiti did, so you see.... Hunter is better than Glowacki therefore better than Cuningham and Tabiti!!!:)

I think I'd still pick even a faded USS to whip Kiladze, and probably out-hustle an ultra-negative Thomas. And, in terms of eye test, I think Tabiti probably does about as well as Usyk as Hunter did. Wouldn't pick him to win, but I think AT would have shaded two or three rounds before Usyk eventually came on.
